The chains that bind us

When newspapers used assessment tools in the olden days, I asked why my assessment changed over the years. The answer fits me: I adapted to the management skills of my bosses, who were either good (and made me better, allowing me to focus on my passions) or horrible (I felt compelled to fill in the blanks so that the others in my department could do their jobs). Put another way, I was either the enabled or the enabler.
