A friendly place

Driving into Dublin from the airport was a breeze. No traffic, everyone driving on the wrong side of the road except Funk. Everyone screaming, honking and giving us “the California howdy” as we made our way to Rathgar. What a friendly place! #beeabroad, #scoopytravels, #Dublin

Arriving

I arrived in Ireland with my traveling companions Gary and Fabienne Sunday. I’d call ‘em my friends, but Funk keeps jamming me into a sack full of camera equipment like I’m a prop or something. Who does that?

What’s that? I got to fly for free because I’m Funk’s comfort Bee? Hmmmmm. I’ll have to think that one over. #beeabroad, #scoopytravels, #aerlingus,#Dublin

Remember when Kodachrome was a choice?

Erica anAlex

I remember a day when one had to become familiar with film to get some pretty good results.. I shot so much film in my 20s and 30s that I rarely needed a light meter.  And when I did, I would start by taking an exposure off the palm of my hand.

One still needs to know what to do. You just have to know what to do with your camera and its settings. This is a selfie, drawn in the sand by Erica Landis.

That's her, posing with her brother Alex Funk. His art is at top. No bad, either.
